Frequently asked quesions

If you haven't use a courier before you might find this information helpful…

what is a courier?
Couriers offer a range of delivery services depending on your requirements. They use vehicles from motorbikes to lorries, depending on the types of goods being carried. They tend to specialise in express or sameday delivery but can usually offer other services.
what are the different types of delivery?
The main types of delivery are:
* dedicated — yours is the only delivery on the vehicle
* groupage — your goods are put together with other people's to fill up space on a vehicle
* express — your goods are picked up and delivered as quickly as (legally) possible
* sameday — your goods are picked up and delivered any time on the same day
* next day — your goods are delivered sometime the day after they were collected
how can I get cheaper delivery?
The more flexible you can be with your delivery requirements, the more chance you have of getting a good price — try calling a few couriers on The Courier List and see who can offer you the best deal. But it's worth paying for a reputable courier who will be fully insured, will take good care of your goods and will provide a professional door-to-door service.
when will I have to pay?
The first time you use a courier you will probably be asked to pay by cash or card on collection. If you are going to use a courier frequently you should be able to set up an account and pay monthly.
